IPL/BBl/DPL Pulsed Light
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL,) is an intense, visible, broad-spectrum light that heats and destroys brown spots, broken capillaries and sunspots on the face, neck and chest. IPL can reduce the appearance of damage and subtract years from your complexion. Photofacial treats skin with quick, powerful flashes of light; the light penetrates below the skin’s surface to target where brown discoloration lives. Then the heat works to break down the pigment into tiny particles, which either rise to the skin’s surface as scabs, or get carried away by the body’s lymphatic system. IPL is not be confused with a laser. Instead of using a single wavelength of light, IPL uses a flash of light in front of which filters are placed which filter out most wavelengths except those taken up by pigment and blood vessels, depending on the filter used.
